How to Size Your Grow Tent (and Not Regret It)
Your tent footprint dictates everything downstream: light coverage, fan CFM, pot count and yield. Get it right first time.
The Plant-per-Square-Foot Rule
In soil with 3–5 gallon pots, expect roughly one healthy plant per square foot. A 80×80cm tent comfortably supports 4 plants; a 120×120cm handles 6–9.
Light Spread Matters More Than Wattage
A 240W LED bar-style fixture beats a 400W panel in a wide tent because it distributes light evenly. Match fixture PPFD footprint to your tent size.
Leave Working Space
Never fill more than 70% of your tent floor. You need access, airflow between canopy and walls, and room for training.
